This weekend was my husband's cousin's wedding. A couple of months prior I was asked to make the ring bearer pillow out of the mother of the bride's wedding gown. She had a large sash on her dress and I used that to make the pillow.
The sashing had some beautiful details that I wanted to keep, so I made the pillow a rectangle. I waited to show this because the bride didn't see the pillow until last week.
Here's two picture of the beautiful wedding.
In other news, I haven't been doing much quilting since last week when I broke my toe and tore some ligaments in my foot. I'm in a brace until next week, so hopefully I'll be back to quilting soon.
I love that the ring bearer pillow was made from the moms wedding gown. How special! You did a great job!
ReplyDeleteYour pillow is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGood to know you can make things besides quilts. I need a calculator quilt for my classroom. (A quilt with pockets to put calculators in. With numbers on each pocket) Maybe for xmas!
