Traveling Homemade

So yesterday, I decided to make a few items to use when I travel to QuiltCon.  While I love my designer labels, I thought it might be nice to make a few things to use while at a quilt show.  Plus, I wanted something that I could put the fabric that I'm sure to purchase in.

I used an Amy Butler pattern that KK gave me after making her own version.  I just love this Jennifer Paganelli West Indies print that I paired with a Painter's Canvas Black and a Barbara Jones Summertime print.

I then threw together this little pouch because, well, you never know when you might need a pouch like this.

Finally, I made this Kindle case.  I got a kindle for Christmas and have been looking for a case for it for a while.  Well, I ended up just making my own case for now.  I think this turned out pretty cute.  It's completely improved pieced.
I'd say it was a productive President's Day!

  2. I've got a new Kindle Fire. In the past I've always used cases like the one you made for my Kindles when I traveled with them because I like to use the Kindle "naked" when I'm at home. I don't want a case that stays on all the time. I like the case you made and I'm probably going to make one too.
